Hello! I am very excited to be hosting this week Inspired By All the Little Things challenge! Here is the inspiration photo!

http://inspiredbyallthelittlethings.blogspot.com/

And here is the card I created:

Whew, it's been awhile since I made a card! For anyone that may not know we moved from Arkansas to Virginia last month. We finally moved into our new house 3 weeks ago! Life has been pretty crazy.

To create my card I used the Stitched Flowers Die-namics from MFT. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! set "Lots of Love". I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder.

I hope you will play along with us this week at Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge!

Essentials By Ellen July Release - Lets Be Mermaids!

Hello! I am thrilled to be joining Ellen Hutson this week to share a card using a stamp set designed by the super talented Julie Ebersole! Here is the "Mermaid Tailstamp and die set I used to create my card:

                                                              And here is my card!

I stamped my mermaid tail using the Hero Arts "Mermaid" Ombre ink pad. It works perfectly! I used Peerless Watercolors to create my ocean themed color wash. To add a bit of gold I sponged a little bit of Gold Delicatta ink directly onto my card base. I had a lot of fun making this card, and  Mermaid Tail is such a unique stamped image. It's a definite must have! Thanks for stopping by!

The Card Concept Challenge #75 - Hello Friend

Hello and happy Wednesday! It's time for a brand new The Card Concept Challenge! We have a beautiful inspiration photo for you to play with:

I think this is my all time favorite inspiration photo so far! Here is the card I created:

2. Clean and Layered
Definition:
  • clean lines
  • lots of layers
  • designer papers/embossing
  • embellishments/accents
  • clean and fresh looking
  • some coloured images at times
  • white space

I often use the "Clean and Layered design concept when creating cards. I love the look of a "polished" card, something you could frame if you wanted to. Ithas definitely been my go-to for years.

To create my card I used the beautiful "Stitched Roses" stamp set by Waffle Flower stamps. I was an avid cross stitcher before I became a card maker. This set comebines the best of both worlds! All of my patterned paper is from Stampin' Up!and the dies I used are from My Favorite Things.

I hope you will play along with us for our 2 week challenge at The Card Concept!
